60+ Semantic Web Blogs (List)

Published 2 years ago by James Simmons

I've rounded up over 60 Semantic Web blogs for your reading and subscribing pleasure! These blogs are just a portion of the sources being indexed regularly by the soon-to-be-launched Planet Semantic Focus. Enjoy!

Primarily about the Semantic Web

The Semantic Web and related topics is the primary subject matter of these blogs. These are the best to subsribe to if all you're interested in is Semantic Web information.

Mostly about the Semantic Web

These blogs mostly talk about the Semantic Web. The majority of their content is about the Semantic Web, but they tend to write off-topic posts every now and again (some more so than others).

Occasionally about the Semantic Web

These blogs occasionally post about the Semantic Web. The majority of their content is NOT about the Semantic Web, however occasionally they do talk about it.

Tag pages about Semantic Web topics with feeds

These are essentially browse or search pages for Semantic Web-related tags and content. They contain posts from blogs covering topics like the Semantic Web, RDF, Microformats, etc. Note: They contain posts by blogs not included in this list!

Non-English Semantic Web blogs

These are non-English speaking blogs which I cannot personally read myself, but look like they are of good quality. These blogs were selected because they appear to not deviate from talking about the Semantic Web.

How will Planet Semantic Focus differ from PlanetRDF James? (Apart from having non-blog feeds...) Keep up the good work! John. --

@John: The biggest ways PSF differs from PlanetRDF are as follows: PSF has a larger, more active list of blogs to index from, it does not display full posts by authors (I encourage users to visit the blogs and read more), you can search for what you're looking for, and among other things I've been experimenting with allowing users to comment on entries (which will later be exposed with SIOC). I will have a button to allow registered users the ability to bury an entry if it is off-topic, spam, or otherwise inappropriate. Logged-in users will be able to tag posts, and tags will also be included in the search allowing for greater rediscovery. The aggregator also checks each entry's permalink to find rel="tag" in anchors on the page. If so it indexes those tags and associates them with their entry. Visitors are encouraged to help the index grow by submitting any new Semantic Web content they find (including new blogs). Planet Semantic Focus will be a constantly updating, changing, and improving Semantic Web content finder.
